This entire thing started because, frankly, I hate “Generative A.I.” that fucking theft engine bullshit. And I got so tired of seeing people go on about how they needed it to create I snapped.
I’m a writer and editor not an artist. I’ve spent exactly zero percent of my life learning how to draw on a physical level. Yes as an editor who edits comics I know a lot about drawing. It does not translate to skill, in any way at all.
But here’s the secret – it doesn’t matter. You can just do things. You can just make things. No one can stop you.
So I decided to start writing and drawing a comic strip. Because I want to. That’s it.
And then I realized I wanted it all to be super lo-fi.
I would draw each strip on a pad, with a pencil. I’d take a picture with my phone, of the pad, with some of the stuff around it on the table, and do minimal editing. And that would be each post.
Noisy, cluttered, imperfect, and utterly, completely, human.
